Urban Brunch, Yeovil
5-7 Union St, Yeovil, Somerset BA20 1PQ

SCONES
These are the largest scones we’ve experienced to date (virtually as big as the teapot!). Baked on site, we had the last two plain scones of the day (shared between three of us) which was plentiful. They were warmed for us (presumably by microwave), which we felt did make them even more lovely and soft inside. Excellent!
CREAM
A huge amount of delicious clotted cream.
JAM
We were given a choice of strawberry, raspberry, apricot and blackberry jam. We chose strawberry and raspberry and they were both good quality and served in sufficient quantities.
TEA
A good choice of teas. Sadly no Lapsang, but the ‘Teapig’ Early Grey we had was great.
AMBIENCE & SERVICE
We chanced upon Urban Brunch and ordered our cream teas without realising they were officially about to close (4pm). However, the owner was lovely and said we could take as long as we liked, as she was interviewing for new staff. The crockery was contemporary and clean.
Score 8/10 ~ Good
