Fitzbillies, Cambridge
51-52 Trumpington St, Cambridge CB2 1RG

SCONES
A medium-sized sultana scone with an exceptionally buttery flavour and perfect texture. Delicious.
CREAM
Unusually, Fitzbillies make their own clotted cream, so no plastic cartons on the table here! The small dish of clotted cream (the most golden we’ve been served to date), contained a plentiful amount for the single scone.
JAM
A good-sized dish of delicious Fitzbillies raspberry jam. When the jam is this good, you don’t care about a lack of choice of flavours.
TEA
A small choice of teas. No Lapsang, but the Earl Grey pyramid bags provided a decent cup.
AMBIENCE & SERVICE
One thing Cambridge is not short of, is places to partake of an English cream tea. Of the three of four we’ve tried so far however, Fitzbillies is the best and will take some beating. The crockery and table were very clean and the waiter and waitresses lovely.
Score: 9/10 Highly Recommended
